A SPECIAL WELCOME TO RV PARK OWNERS

We've noted an increasing number of RV park owners and managers participating here at RVers Online. We welcome and encourage the active participation by those who build, manage and maintain the many RV parks where we stay when we're on the road. We're aware of the many state, regional, and national RV Owners' groups to which many of you belong. From our personal experience in participating in programs of the California Travel Parks Association ("CTPA"), and from our occasional dialogue with the national Association of RV Park and Campground Association ("ARVC"), we aware of the excellent information available from those sources. We hope your "membership" in RVers Online will provide an additional perspective for RV park owners.

Your membership here differs from the other owners' groups to which you may belong. First of all, there are no dues, no meetings, no forms to fill out, and there are no conditions or restrictions. Second, you'll find that you'll not be talking "about" RVers here -- you'll be talking "with" RVers. We think that's a perspective you're not likely to get elsewhere. And finally, we'd like you to know that while your participation here isn't required, it is very much welcomed.

We'll direct your attention from this special section to a few of the items which are geared specifically to the interest of RV park owners. There are already many such articles here, but with some 800+ pages of information (and expanding), we'll continually update the "For Our RV Park Owners" section to help direct you to them.

Finally, one of our objectives has long been to encourage easy internet access for RVers. For several years we encouraged parks to become "modem friendly" -- and most of the higher rated parks did just that. However phone access is rapidly becoming outdated, and RVers now not only want, but in many cases need, high speed internet access. We've encouraged park owners to view this as a marketing opportunity, and to be wary of entering into long term contracts that involve high daily fees required of RV guests to use the system. More and more parks are finding ways of offering either park-wide or "local hot spot" places in the park where RVers can get free high speed wireless access to the internet. If your park is doing so, please drop us a note, as we are providing a list of all parks offering free WiFi, and including a link to their website.
